YWP North
Young Water Professionals – North (YWP–North)
The Young Water Professionals – North (YWP–North) is a collaborative network of early-career individuals passionate about water, environment, community development, and sustainable resource management. Our chapter brings together members from diverse academic, technical, and professional backgrounds—united by a shared commitment to creating positive impact in society.
Our Structure and Activities
YWP–North meets twice a month through virtual Zoom sessions, ensuring continuous learning, discussion, and professional growth:
-
Emerging Water-Related Topics Session
-
A dedicated monthly meeting focused on global and local water challenges, innovations, climate resilience, groundwater issues, urban water management, and sustainable practices.
-
Experts, practitioners, and members share insights, research updates, and case studies to expand collective knowledge.
-
-
Subjective / Organizational Matters Session
-
A separate monthly meeting reserved for internal planning, project discussions, decision-making, operational updates, and collaborative work.
-
This ensures smooth coordination, transparency, and active involvement from all members.
-
Field Engagements
Although we primarily meet virtually, YWP–North organizes field visits periodically to community tanks, water bodies, restoration sites, and environmental hotspots.
These visits help us:
-
Understand ground realities,
-
Connect scientific knowledge with practical community needs,
-
Engage with local stakeholders,
-
Identify opportunities for youth-driven interventions.
