Kopay
Kopay is one of the agriculture-based areas enclosed with 32 Grama Niladhari divisions. Sixty stakeholders were reached out through the five water platform meetings conducted from January to March 2022 in this study area.
- The first water platform meeting was conducted in Poonkodi Arivalayam, Valalaai with the community groups from Idaikkaadu to Puttur.
- For the second meeting, Community based stakeholders from Sirupiddy to Irupaalai were gathered in Puttur Somaskandha College.
- Lecturers, students, and student teachers from the College of Education and Kopay Teachers’ training college had been invited to the third water platform meeting.
- Stakeholders from water-related small-scale enterprises and industries were approached for the fourth meeting held in Women Rural Development Center, Neervely.
- The fifth meeting was conducted with Government officials representing the water management-related departments and boards in Kopay as well as in Northern Province.
